About Our Wines
We live in a golden age for wine lovers of all backgrounds and levels of experience as more great wine is being made available from more corners of the globe than ever before, and the role of the sommelier has changed to reflect that. No longer staid guardians of elite wines to be enjoyed only by the enormously wealthy, today’s sommelier is a guide to the world of wine and a champion of the new and undiscovered. On the wine list you will find classics alongside unfamiliar regions and unfamiliar varietals to explore. We’re especially excited to offer discovery wines of Eastern Europe and the Middle East, mimicking the rich immigrant history of Brookline that inspires our cuisine.
To help you find the right bottle for your meal, the wine list is laid out by flavor and body. Titles like “Citrus & Mineral” or “Depth & Power” give a sense of the style of the wines of each page, and the footer confirms whether you’re looking at white, red, or rose. With each page the wine list increases in intensity and body from top to bottom. Take our advice and just remember that bigger is not always better.
At Fairsted Kitchen we love wines that are distinctive expressions of the lands and the people from which they come. We encourage you to chat with your server and discover a new experience, be it an unfamiliar producer, grape, or region. We think your faith will be amply rewarded. Cheers!
